Well, today has just been full of lots of little surprises. Seems like every hour or so, something happens. All very random things. Cars not starting, thinking I lost my debit card, and so on. I've been on the verge of tears, on the verge of freaking out, and almost cracking up! (Not all at the same time!) So, anyways as far a s funny things, my daughter received her first phone call today. I actually thought someone was messing with me when I answered and they asked to speak to Addisyn. I was like"excuse me, who?", and she was like "Addisyn Roberts, please". I told her that I was her mother, and she couldn't talk (literally). It was the lady from Season's in downtown BA telling me she had won a Webkin. Yeah, for Addy! Then later, after bringing her home from the school, I lay her down for a nap. I just went in to check on her and she's asleep...Butt Naked! She disposed of her diaper in the middle of her floor. I don't remember the boys ever doing that. So, at least I've had some good laughs today. Hope eveybody else is having a better day!
And, yes I do have that picture of her, but I won't post it.

Camping

We went and spent the weekend with our friends down at Sequoyah State Park. It was Addy's first tent camping experience, and I have to say it went really well. I had my concerns, but she was awesome. I think she is definitely going to be another outdoor kid. What kid isn't, right? Cameron did lots of fishing, but didn't catch anything. Noah played in the water more than anything. It was funny because it was freezing when we woke up that morning, but by lunch all the kids were swimming in the lake. It got pretty warm. We had a great time. Can't wait to do it again!

When I grow up

Everyday Noah tells me what he wants to be when he grows up. Today he wants to be an artist. Yesterday, he wanted to be a race car driver. The day before... a firefighter. I always tell him he can be whatever he wants to be. I hope he has many dreams and aspirations as he gets older, as with the rest of my children. I sure hope he figures it out, because I'm still wondering if I ever will.

Glad I'm a City Girl

Don't get me wrong...I love the country. That was just one stinky farm we went to today. I saw countless people in flip-flops stepping in poo. It was my goal today to make sure Addy steered clear of it.
It still amazes me that Noah is well over a head taller than everybody in his class.

Addy sure does make a cute country girl though! And, she doesn't mind poo.

I love this picture!

I also love what this picture hides. Like the fact that she has a pretty nice purple goose egg on her forehead. She's at the stage of really showing affection. Her new favorite thing is to bear hug her cousin Ivy. Ivy is not so fond of her affection. Addy is three months older, and a tiny bit bigger. So, Addy's hugs send both of them to the ground. Today, Addy basically tackled Ivy with a hug and they both went down, whacking both their heads on the park bench. I think Addy got the worst of it, with a nice bruise. Now Ivy seems to run when Addy comes near her. I don't blame her.
It also hides that she really needs a bath! Look at that hair. Yuck!

First Self-Feeding

Well, today I ended the power struggle with the baby and decided to let her feed herself. It's hard for me to want to go there because it's just...messy! I already have a billion things to clean. I was very happy with her though because it was the first time she did not immediately pick up the plate to throw it in the floor. Hooray for little success's! I wish I could have cloned myself to take pictures of myself cleaning her. She DOES NOT like to be wiped down or washed off. Those would have made some memorable pictures! She's definitely a do-it-herself little girl. Hey, I'm all for that!

How did that get in there????

Engine 6

Tonight we went and visited the Firefighter's from Engine 6. We met these guys at National Night Out last month. They were just getting ready to move into their new station over at Neinhuis Park. They told the kids to come visit them any time they wanted. Let me tell you something. Don't tell Cameron anything you don't plan on him remembering forever, because he forgets nothing. They were so kind to give us a tour after they've been training all day. It's funny how they point out every bathroom. I'm glad I know where they all are.
Thanks Engine 6!

Noah and Layne's Birthday's

This post is mainly for Leigh and Way who live so far away, and don't get to attend many of the family birthday parties. There was a great picture of your mother, but she made me promise that I wouldn't blog it. I kept my promise. We miss you all the time!
The kids are growing up so fast! I can't believe these two are already 4 and 5 years old!

Smile of the Day

I know she's not smiling in the last one, but I think she's so beautiful so I wanted to add it.
