Addy's Birthday cont.

We finally had a chance to slow down, mainly thanks to a head cold, and look at Addy's birthday pictures. You know, for a crappy week, she really had a great birthday! Her Papa would have been happy for that.
One of my favorite things about looking through her pictures was Steve's expression in the background. You can see how much he adores his baby girl. I love it! Every girl wants a Daddy like that.Somebody please tell me where she gets all the facial expressions from!We had a group of friends come over Monday to party with us. I was completely unorganized, but surely the kids didn't notice!
It took Cameron and Noah 2 1/2 hours to fill the water balloons, and not even five minutes for all of them to be unloaded on partygoers! Not Addy though...she's a princess, and she doesn't get wet!
Everybody had some really cool face paint going on, but I think 1st place went to Corbett! His was awesome! Addy did her own. Addy's "theme" for the party was Garden Girl so we had all the kids plant seeds that they could grow in their own gardens. Lowe's has some neat bio-degradable seeding cups that you plant your seeds, then plant the whole cup in the ground. They are a little messy, but worth it.
Then the princess graced us with her gracefulness ;)

I'm just playing~

I do have to say though that I'm a little sad that we've reached the part of life where babies are over! I do look forward to seeing what remarkable people my children will become. Each day gets a little easier raising them too! But, something about never having anymore babies is still kinda sad. I'll just have to be patient for our siblings to give us some more nieces and nephews!

Happy Birthday to My Addy!

I really wanted to do this big post for Addy's birthday, but due to many circumstances, that will not be happening right now. I will however, do a little post for now to celebrate my princess's 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Holy Jawbreakers!

Waymond and Leigh... this is for you! Your Ginormous jawbreakers created quite a scene with the boys.

This is a Mother's nightmare! Probably the dentist's nightmare too! Please make him stop....

This pucker's for you Way!

This is the effect of a Ginormous jawbreaker overload. Everybody stand back!

It's pretty scary!

A face only a Mother can love.

And on a random note, since my kids are quite colorful today, here's a funny pic of Addy at the park. Look at that hair!

Good Ol' Rooster Days

Come rain or shine... we must go to the Rooster Day parade! It's become a tradition for us. It used to be us, and Jani, and our friends from the hood that would all trek up to Main St. This was our first year with just Steve and I and the kids. Which really made me realize that life is changing, and change can be good. Of course, some things could be better, but we are very fortunate for what we have. This had to be the coolest (temperature wise) Parade Day that I can recall, which I am so grateful for. The rain wasn't so nice for my camera though.

Addy couldn't wait for the parade to start. She kept running out in the street to see if it was coming!

Everybody is happy when they see the Blue Bell truck coming. Ice cream!
And, our new favorite thing this year was the petting zoo. I think it's a great addition to the Rooster Day festivities. It's just a rip off to feed the animals! I love Camo's face!

Addy loved the little baby goats. They were so cute..except for this one that had a 5inch snot string hanging from it's nostril. Eewww.....Well, until next year....

Little Dresses for Africa

This is a post I meant to write two days ago...

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of attended a wonderful brunch at Ashley's house. ( I am throughly convinced she is SuperWoman!) She had a group of us over to honor a group of Mother's. We'll never meet them because they've died mainly due to Aids. Our group made pillowcase dresses for the many daughter's that don't their Mother's anymore. It's so hard to even imagine one little girl...let alone nations that have this problem. Please visit Ashley's website and see the amazing work being done there. It's http://www.ashleyannphotography.com/. You might have to go back a post or two. Like Ashley said, if you know some friends that you could get together with to make these dresses it makes for a great Saturday morning. I'm looking forward to making more. I can only imagine the little girls faces after recieving these dresses. You can also visit http://www.littledressesforafrica.org/ where they have all the information on these girls, and how-to's for the dresses.

I take ALOT of pictures! I've always had a hard time getting a great picture from the boys...together. I found a neat boy spot across from the Farmer's Market and thought we'd give it a try. I wonder if other photographers ever worry about trespassing when they find somewhere they'd like to shoot. I do! I kept waiting for somebody to come walking out, asking me what I'm doing. It's right by the transmission shop so I'd probably get some guy who could care less why I'm there. It's worth it though when I get pics like these!

This one is my favorite!

I can't wait to get these printed!
